Day 5 Weigh In!!!

I woke up today and found out I'd lost 8 lbs in 4 days!!! I went from 128 to 120!!!! I'm so excited! Now I just gotta keep up the good work :)

For dinner my mom made these healthy pizza things that are on the menu for the Flat Belly diet. They were under 400 calories. You buy a whole wheat pita (a whole one that's laid flat out), put some olive oil around the bread and add some organic red sauce with a few fake, no sodium, pepperoni's and some cheese, then you cut the pita in half. so my mom got one half i got the other. I added a dark chocolate, and that's all I've had today.

Day 1 Food Intake

The past few days I absolutely pigged out. I ended up gaining all the weight I had lost back, and then some. I went from 123.5 to 128, and I started my last diet at 126 lbs. So when my mom told me about the, "Flat Belly Diet," I had to try it. So today was my first day on the 4 day, anti-bloating phase, and here's what I ate:

Breakfast: 1/4 cup of Lactaid milk with 1 cup of Rice Crispies, 1/2 cup of pineapple, and 1 dark chocolate dove (which I used as my MUFA), ice water.
Hunger Rating Before -3 Hunger Rating After 3 Challenge: Absolutely starving in a short time.

Lunch: 2 slices of lean roast beef lunch meat (we were out of no-sodium turkey), and a big helping of green beans (I cheated and added 1/2 tbsp of promise and a tiny smidgen of parmesan cheese), ice water. Technically I was supposed to eat more, but I'm being extra hard on myself to lose more weight.
Hunger Rating Before -5 Hunger Rating After 0 Challenge: Starving to the point of sickness before, and very exhausted. Possibly from lack of caffeine, or lack of sleep.

Dinner: 1 small grilled chicken breast, small portion of cooked carrots and green beans (I cheated and added a bit of promise to both, and a bit of parmesan to gb's), and roasted red potatoes (tiny bit of promise), ice water.
Hunger Rating Before -3 Hunger Rating After 3 Challenge: Bad headache and body aching, possibly from lack of caffeine.

Snack: 1 cup of Lactaid milk with 1 cup of frozen peaches and a few extra frozen strawberries, blended with flaxseed oil (MUFA) to make a smoothie.
Hunger Rating Before 0 Hunger Rating After 3 Thoughts: The smoothie didn't have much flavor.

Thinspiration:

So I'm trying out this new diet called the, "Flat Belly Diet."

Both my mom and I are doing the first 4 day, anti-bloating phase. You basically can't eat anything, lol, but I did really good today, and I'm definitely in the right mind set. You're supposed to start off the first 4 days, really hardcore, and you can't have any soda (even diet), tea, dark meat, pasta, only Lactaid milk, only red potatoes, and only a few specific fruits and vegis. The book sets out your meals for the day and has a rating system and mood chart for you to fill out. So this entry I'll explain the rating scale, and then I'll post an actual entry discussing what I ate.

THE RATING SCALE
-5 is Starving: you want to devour everything you see, and can't slow down.

-3 is Overly hungry and irritable: you feel you waited too long to eat.

0 is Mild to moderate hunger: your stomach is growling but you aren't starving or having headaches or shaking.

3 Hunger but not craving free: you're full but not satisfied, your thoughts are still on food.

5 Just right: no hunger, you feel satiated and energized.

7 A little too much: you overdid it, your stomach feels stretched, and sluggish.

So with each meal, I would choose a rating for how I felt before and after I ate. Then I would write down my mood, and my thoughts or challenges.

Another important part of this diet is MUFAs, otherwise known as monounsaturated fatty acids. They are healthy, disease fighting, good fats that should be eaten with every meal. There are five categories: oils, olives, nuts and seeds, avocados, & dark chocolate. In the book it has a whole chart of other types of MUFAs that you can incorporate, and their serving size. I haven't read the main MUFA chapter yet, but apparently they are a good fat that causes you to lose inches, specifically in the belly. And my problem area is my belly, so this diet is the one for me! Once I read the chapter I'll try and explain them better. But I'm excited, I think I'll lose weight pretty fast!

I woke up 123 lbs. today!
Yesterday...

Lunch: grilled banana bread slice and a cup of nesquick

Dinner: 50 cal. wheat wrap with roast beef, cheddar cheese, light mayo and a tsp. of ketchup. also a pickle spear and some fresh green beans with butter and parmesean.

Snacks: 2 dove chocolates, a mini chocolate pretzel, 5 jalapeno chips, an apple w/ peanut butter, a cup 1/2 of cheese puffs (about 90 cal), and another pickle spear.

So yeah, my main issue is I just have to get past feeling hungry all the time so that I don't snack so much. Plus I need to stop snacking on candy and such. But overall, I'm not doing too badly. My meals usually are pretty low in calorie intake, overall. I think I'm gonna do better now that the banana bread is gone, too.

Today's Inspiration:

So the past 2 times I've tried to see Batman, the power went out in the entire mall. So yet again, I went to the movies and got popcorn, and finally was able to see the damn movie! It was definitely the best movie of the year. Heath Ledger is amazing. But yeah, tomorrow I'll start cracking down a little harder, 'cause I finally won't be going to a movie, lol.

Breakfast: piece of banana bread with butter, and real banana.

Lunch: 2 wheat crackers with turkey salad and 2 dove chocolates

Dinner: chicken salad in pita pocket and tons of delicious fresh greenbeans smothered in butter and parmesean (which may not be that healthy, but still...I know I won't be gaining weight from it and the green beans are good for me), i also had 2 more dove chocolates *bad*

Snacks: 2 wheat crackers with turkey salad, a half of a bag of medium buttered popcorn *bad*, and a chunk of banana bread.

Today's Inspiration:

I started my diet today...

and I did pretty good. I had a few cheats here and there.

Breakfast: None

Lunch: a cup of Nesquick

Dinner: 80 cal. pita pocket with chicken salad in it

Snacks: half of a small bag of plain popcorn, 2 twizzlers, 1 dove chocolate, a wheat cracker with turkey salad on it, and 2 spoonfuls of chicken salad.

I had popcorn and twizzlers at the movies while I watched Dark Knight! Unfortunately, about an hour and 15 mins into it, the mall's power went out and they send us home with a free pass. I was soooo pissed. You will not believe how fucking amazing Heath Ledger is in that role. I understand why playing the joker inevitably led to his death. While he was making the movie he started having nightmares and visions about being the joker, which is why he was prescribed sleeping pills and anxiety pills, in the first place. He obviously put his heart and soul into that role, no doubt about it. He makes the movie, otherwise it just seems cheesy without him! But it was sooo good, so far!

Today's Inspiration:

Well, by sheer luck...

I managed not to gain any weight at Dave's. Which is shocking, because I didn't watch what I was eating what so ever. I'm going to post every horrible thing that I ate, just to prove how badly I did. But I guess God's on my side, because I just weighed myself and I'm still 126 lbs!!!! Granted, I did purge a lot of the food I ate, but even still I don't see how I didn't gain some. I mean I didn't purge everything after all. But I am going to record any time that I do purge in this journal for both therapeutic and scientific reasons. Although once I start actually watching what I eat, it shouldn't happen very often. I only do it when I over eat. But here is all that I can remember eating while at Dave's:

Today's Breakfast: Breakfast burrito from Hardee's
Lunch: 6 inch sub with salami, roast beef, turkey, provelone cheese and mayo on wheat bread
Dinner: 1 double cheeseburger w/o onion from White castle and some cheese fries
Snacks: Several twizzlers, 2 dove chocolates, and a small chocolate blizzard with peanut butter cups from DQ

Wednesday (can't remember if I ate before dinner...)
Dinner: a half of hamburger steak with melted american cheese and a ketchup (no bun), a large helping of kraft mac 'n cheese (which had extra cheese added and 2 % milk), and a small amount of canned green beans
Alcohol: a lot of Sailor Jerry's spiced rum
Snacks: Several twizzlers, some sour patch kids, a big helping of velveeta cheese with rotel salsa and hamburger meat on tortilla chips

Tuesday
Lunch: Bowl of Special K w/ strawberry's and 2% milk
Dinner: grilled chicken caesar salad from McDonalds
Snacks: small blizzard with cookie dough from DQ, Breakfast burrito from Jack in the Box, a couple sour patch kids
Midnight snack: cheesy hashbrowns and chocolate chip waffles w/ maple syrup

Monday Night
Dinner: 5 pieces of StL style pizza (extra provel cheese, pepperoni, and hamburger), a house salad, and a dinner roll with butter.
Snacks: a buncha twizzlers, sour bright crawlers, and sour patch kids.

But yes, there you have it. Horrific, I know. I have no clue what's wrong with me???? I normally don't eat like this, even if I'm not dieting. But I have just been so out of whack lately. I'm constantly hungry, even when I know it's impossible. I get to the point where I feel nauseous because my stomach feels empty, even though it shouldn't. And this happens even when I don't purge, which is the most concerning. Plus it didn't help that I spent all weekend hanging out with a buncha burley guys who eat non-stop. Now that I'm home, I've got to get back to my diet. This is imperative!

Today's Inspiration:

This isn't the best time to start this journal...

considering I'm leaving for Dave's 'til Thursday evening. Usually when I go to his house I don't really have access to healthy foods, and I end up gaining weight. But I'm going to try really hard to eat light while I'm there. I probably won't have time to update about my food intake while I'm gone, but when I get back I'll post about how well I did and if I lost any weight while I was gone. I weighed myself this morning, and apparently my starting weight is: 126 lbs

My goal weight, to start off, is getting back down to 120 lbs. Once I've reached my goal, I will try to get down to about 116 lbs, but we'll see. I've had enough of problem trying to get back down to 120 lbs. But I'll deal with one goal at a time. Wish me luck!

Today's Inspiration:
